I would personally like to say that I know that some people have their views and opinions on their experience with the Holiday Inn downtown Shreveport which I respect that. However I have to say for my experience this is the best hotel that I have stayed in a long time.
Was not informed of the close proximity to the train tracks. It was loud with the train blowing there horn as well as the train going down the tracks. When we got in our room, we found a note giving us this information and said we could get some free ear plugs, which didn't work.
When I arrived at my suite it was truly the most amazing room I have ever been. It felt like paradise in my room.
It started out with Friday morning when they took the money off my card which they were unaware that I was paying with cash. The night audit helped me out with the situation and made sure to let the day shift manager Brittney know about it.
Everything on the website they stated is true with the free shuttle and the open bar. The bed was soft and comfortable.
When I arrived at the hotel it was everything that the website showed. The clerk JoJo is one of the best in the business. She made me feel like I was at home. I made sure to inform both JoJo and the swings manager Elisha know on what my bank needs. They got the job done and reimburse my money back.
Super sweet staff to check us in, they gave us directions to walk to the river but she was going to have the shuttle take us.
The room was clean. We were at the end of a hall and it was difficult to locate our room because of the layout of the hotel. Our room was directly over train tracks and it was quite loud all night. We've stayed in nicer hotels for less than the cost of this room. It's good in a pinch, but it could be so much more.
Jules the weekend front desk clerk is amazing. The whole entire staff for the hotel including Kevin is amazing. I will be coming back soon and I am so grateful to see a wonderful staff work as a team.
Room was clean, smelled fresh and looked nice. Bathroom was very clean. I would for sure come back here!!
First off the parking area is tiny if you have anything bigger than a small SUV good luck. The front desk was not very friendly, nor did she provide any information about things in the hotel. The room was not as clean as I would expect for a Holiday Inn, there was red stuff on the shower wall, not sure what it was, but it wiped off with a wet rag, so not real sure why housekeeping did not clean that off. There was note about the train tracks behind the hotel stating that it was a "NO train horn zone", yet we heard the train horn several times within our 12 hour stay. Would not book again!
