I have shared many memories with the state fair. First dates, first kiss, concerts, baseball and football games, Ice hockey, Ice skating (in the deep south?!?!), tailgating, training for my CDL, thrill rides, a riot that made national news (Pantera/Ozzy concert), and even a few things I won't admit publicly. I love this place. Part of my heart is cemented here. BRING BACK BASEBALL!
The fair has remained the same size ce I was a child. That's a good thing! It's always a good idea to take your children or teenagers to the museum. It's very informative and has a lot of knowledge to offer. It's a Louisiana museum so they have many exhibits that show off Louisiana heritage.
Tons of fun! Great rides for little kids, lots of fried food and a petting zoo. Our family really enjoyed the motorcycle show.
We were always skeptical about going but so happy we did after living here 7yrs. We can't wait for next year. Just be mindful that cars will be broken into no matter how hard our working men/women in blue try to keep it from happening.
Fun place to take the family. Lots of rides and tons of different foods to eat! From fried candy bars, cotton candy, corn dogs, jambalaya, meat pies, etc. They have different ride packages. There is an exhibit building. Bring a lot of money because it is definitely not cheap. Thursdays are $2 days, rides, admission, parking, etc! They are closed Monday and Tuesday. Enjoy!
