I am a regular with National Car rental. I am also an Emerald Club member. I had a very bad experience this time, customer service rep started out rude as she complained that she didn't want to work during the Christmas Holiday. She had a very unprofessional tone while servicing me. I feel that her issues with her employment is not my concerned. The representative did not check vehicle for any problems only sent me away with the keys. I felt rushed as if she just wanted to get the transaction over so that she could continue on with her rant. While on my trip the check engine and change oil light came on. This made me very nervous since we were 13 hours away from home and had to travel 13 hours back. I called to report issue and was told in a rude manner that it was my fault because car did not need oil change until we traveled over 200 miles. This didn't make any since, my reservation called for unlimited miles. She also said that we could trade out vehicle or get oil changed ourselves and get reimbursed. We were in a hurry already and did not have time to get a replacement and there were not any replacements available due to the holiday. Secondly why should I have to spend my money to get oil change this is something that should have already been taken care of. I was left feeling disturb and very nervous for the remainder of my trip. I reported incident to corporate and have yet to receive a phone call back about this issue. To add insult to injury on the day December 31,2016 7a.m. I returned car hoping to speak with a manager in person, to my surprise there was a sign on counter saying that they were closed. The only option I had was to leave key in drop box until the next business day. After returning the car I still felt uneasy and very nervous about the vehicle. I feel that I should be compensated for this trip due to the unprofessionalism and lack of safety measures taken. I feel that concern for the customers safety should be taken seriously in the future. I enjoy renting from National but would like for this situation to be handle in a professional manner.

Horrible. I'm Emerald Asile Executive Elite with National. I made my reservation for a mid-size as I always do. Since Shreveport doesn't have an Emerald Aisle, I had to go to the counter, which is fine.

Sorry Shreveport National Car Rental, not the way to treat your best type of customer

Concerned and Nervous

Luck day that I was able to get a 4 door Ford 150 in the regular club lane. what a great ride. If I was going to comment on anything that was less than great it would be the attitude of the return personnel. Really could not tell what they mumbled to me as they were interested in another conversation. I had 2 large bags and one medium bag and as I went by they did not even offer directions to the shuttle.

My recent experience with my rental was in Shreveport, at the airport location was not good. I don't understand why their cars are 'half-washed'... ALWAYS leaving water spots on the car. I'm an 'emerald club member', and have been for years! I rent cars from National at least 3 times a year. I'll probably be renting another car in December, when I'm back there for Christmas, so hope by then, some improvements will have been made for cleaner cars for customers to rent.

Returning, of course, I was in a rush and didn't have time to deal with it, but the "little" more was $45/day and my reservation was for the same, so it doubled my bill.

Great counter personnel who provide excellent customer service each week as I rent a vehicle from National.

They didn't have my mid-sized car and we're going to put me in a compact, which was not acceptable and I said that. She came back with a Ford Expedition. That bigger then I want, but much better then a compact. But then she said it's a "little" more. I said no it isn't, as Emerald Aisle Executive Elite, there should be no additional charge, since they didn't have the size I reserved. She told me for this upgrade there is and it was only a little more. I figured I would take care of it on my return.
