I did not dare leave a tip. I just paid for my chop and ran out of there. I don't think I'll be visiting Smart Style in any location ever again.
The second attempt was a few months ago where I wanted to go in for a chop. One thing I absolutely hate about salons is that you really have no privacy. Everybody is seeing your business as you are right in front of everybody who is waiting and watching you. With my hair all wild, I never look my best. So, one of the first embarrassing moments was when the woman shouted why my hair was nappy, which I thought I had combed through it well enough the night before. I just kind of froze, wishing I could hide in a turtle shell. She just kept telling my business so out in the open.
My first attempt at going here was about a year ago, because I wanted to do everything I could to avoid going to the one on Bert Kouns. I sat down as one of the first customers among a few that morning, and it seemed like they were skipping me or took too long to get to me. I ended up leaving.
I did however find a great place that's less than half a mile away from this place. It's on Colquitt road. Carters Family Hair Salon. I give them an A+. They were great with my very shy-nervous little guy. And only charged me ten dollars as opposed to the 23 I was charged for his last haircut at JcPenny.
DON'T COME HERE!! All I needed was a simple trim. She messed it up so bad the only way to fix it was to shave it all. AND I STILL HAD TO PAY FOR IT! Sixteen dollars for a clean shaven head that I could've done myself over my bathroom sink. Got home and looked in the mirror to find that she hadn't even shaved it properly!! Terrible business, terrible customer service, zero customer satisfaction. ***Would have given it zero stars but one is required at minimum.***
I took my two year old son here yesterday thinking that it would be a simple in and out thing. They had a big sign out front saying "low wait". I walk in and sign the little paper and put the time down that we arrived. No one spoke, looked at us, or acknowledged the fact that we were there. We sat down and one woman looked up and just stared at me for a moment. Fast-forward fourty-five minutes with my two year old bouncing up and down on my lap and i was a little more than aggravated. So, without even getting his haircut we left.
