Best Cajun Food
okay, this is our first time in Louisiana looking for that famous Louisiana cajun cooking. looked online for places and BOOM, there it was DOWN SOUTH CAJUN RESTAURANT. showed up for lunch was greeted by the owner, very friendly and smiled the whole time. had a bowl of gumbo, fried shrimp po'boy and shrimp fried rice. everything was excellent however, let me tell you bout that gumbo. its the best gumbo ever
Food and service was excellent
We went here to eat after shopping at Libbey Glass. We were completely unprepared for how good the food was. I ordered gumbo and red beans'n'rice. My wife ordered a poboy. When the food showed up, we knew I won. That was the best gumbo I have ever put in my mouth. It made me sad because my gumbo is nowhere near this good. After I filled up, my wife pulled it over and finished it off.
This place is now on the top of my 'gotta eat' list when I come into town.
