Free parking. Easy check in. Room was clean and nice, though some light bulbs didn't work. At the casino we were approached quickly by a cocktail waitress and served in a timely manner. The staff at the restaurants and stores were very friendly and helpful. Our check out was also easy.
The location is, of course, right off of the river. It has to be because Casinos are only allowed on said river. The rooms are beautiful and, as far as I could tell, well kept. I didn't feel the usual discomfort of sleeping in a dirty bed that I get in other hotels. The casino was a ton of fun. I'm not a big gambler and this was my first casino experience, but I had a blast. My only disappointment was that there was no Texas Hold 'Em. The slots were enough to keep me entertained for hours, however. The only place I ate inside the hotel was the buffet. It was not the best food I have ever had, but it wasn't low quality like golden corral either. Overall worth a stay, if you ask me!
Love the room set up, great selection of gaming. 98% if staff is absolutely wonderful. However- When an establishment has Dr.Pepper on hand but will only allow the highest card members to enjoy one (and clearly tell you that!) I was in disbelief when I ordered and received one then ordered a second from a different server...I was not "ELITE " enough*I was given the option of Pepsi products only and was rudely told also and then walked away from! WOW... then another lady came by-I ordered one and ...guess what, No problem. What is really going on here? I'm spending my $ in your establishment and it's not like you don't have them\You just don't serve them to members with a lower status. I could not even buy one via the casino manager,after I called him to the pit to explain this to me. I only have one complaint on the rooms and that is ;the beds are only comfortable for a very short time. I always wake up and can barely move. All in All,I love the establishment but disagree with how I was treated regarding a simple drink!
We went to have dinner at Smokey Joe's, group of 5. We were promptly seated and the waitress was quick to take drink orders. After some deciding from us she took our orders and had great personality in tending to us. The food arrived within a reasonable time and was surprisingly very good. Casino floor is not very clean or pleasant to the senses, but a good variety of games. All who gambled came out ahead. A great visit.
For years samtown has been me and my husband favorite casino the folks are really nice and you have a good time ,. But all 2017 I can count the hrs on one hand how long we were able to stay and actually say we had a good time .! We never play a small amount unless we lose. Lately it take the money so fast it's gone in about a hr I went through $680 in about 1 and half hr top on slots and that's betting a dollar at time every machine I went to then give either nothing are very little One machine I stop playing with the card out $200 never went into a bonus! Sometimes after a hard day's work I like to enjoy myself nobody makes me come there But it hurts so bad when your dishing out this type of money and all you get in return is 12 dollars a play for each week and $15 food credit I remember when folks would get a substantial amount of money a month base on their play I never once gotten over $25 and I have play my heart out me and my husband I have stacks of receipts adding up to thousands of dollars getting money out playing there I had to stop for a while because it was crazy for us I return thinking we could have a good time it took the money so fast I was home before nine and we usually try to stay and say we at least enjoyed ourselves. We are so hurt I'm not saying we always have to win
Overall it was a great trip with no complaints about the experience.
